Sad that I rarely make these. I love this. This used to be the sambar my mom used to make on Sunday's - A sunday special sort of a thing :).

Potato and Eggplant Gravy (Ringna Batata nu Shaak/Aloo Baingan ki Sabzi)
Kalonji is onion seeds. Its black in color and looks very similar to black sesame seed and has a lot of flavor. Hope this helps
